Summary

If you never fooled around with someone of the same gender, did you even go to high school?

PEYTON

My whole life I’ve had the pressure of being Marcus Talon and Shane Miller’s football prodigy. I’ve been destined to follow in my NFL-playing fathers’ footsteps since the day I was born. I usually thrive under pressure, but as senior year looms, it all gets too much, and I need an outlet. The last place I thought I’d find my release is at Levi Vanderbilt’s graduation party. In his bed. With him.

It’s a one-time thing. An experimentation. And while it was fun, we agree that being with guys isn’t for either of us. I’m happy to accept that until he turns up in California.

I haven’t had to think about him for four years, but now I can’t get him out of my head.

LEVI

Coming to Franklin University for grad school to follow a boy I hooked up with once is the stupidest thing I could have done.

We said that high school didn’t mean anything, but the truth is, that night made me realize who I truly am, and since then, I’ve been trying to find that sense of freedom again.

I’m hoping it can be with him, but everything I’ve heard around campus points to Peyton not having the same life-changing revelation I did.

And if that’s the case, did I just move across the country for a straight guy?

Kill me now.

Review

Rating: 5 out of 5.

This book was totally worth the wait. Swoon.

I feel like I’ve been waiting foreverrrrr for Peyton’s book, but really it’s been less than two months. Now I can’t wait for Brady’s book!! (He’d BETTER be getting one!!)

The chemistry between Levi and Peyton is just… so, so good. Hot and sweet and being afraid to make themselves vulnerable (again). The tension in this book is just delicious, I can’t even words about how good it is. If you’re into mutual pining and slowwwwww burns, this book is definitely for you. Aside from the romantic relationship, I also really loved Peyton’s relationships with his brother and with his dads. I just really wanted to go hang out with all these dudes!

Also, it was HILARIOUS getting to catch up with Miller and Talon again – they are exactly the sort of dads you’d expect them to be and I laughed out loud so many times. (Go read Blindsided from Eden Finley’s Fake Boyfriends series if you haven’t yet!)

This is such a great final book of this series, but I’m really sad the ride is over.

This is the eighth book in the Franklin U series. The FUKings books are all standalones set in the same universe and each written by a different author. As the blurb in the front matter says, “You don’t need to read the other to enjoy this one (though you should, because they’re awesome).” Can confirm 10/10 are awesome.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are unbiased and my own.
