I don’t usually do themed readathons (or any readathons beyond ones that are “read as much as you can for X period of time!”) but I wanted to DIVERSIFY so I am jumping into this Animal Crossing inspired readathon a bunch of my friends are doing. 🙂 I don’t even know where my Switch it, it’s been so long since I picked it up, but I was super into Animal Crossing for a while! Let’s goooo!
If you’re interested in participating and making your own island, check out the Rules post here, and the Prompts post here! My plan is to participate on “easy” mode, which is reading 5 books.

STEP 1: Name your Island!
PROMPT: Read a book with a title that starts with the name of your island/town/village in the latest AC game you play/played! Don’t play AC? Substitute this with the first letter of your first name!
Well, my island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is Potadia, so I guess I’m reading a book that starts with the letter “P.”
TBR: Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales (read 3/6/21)

STEP 2: Get your first villager!
PROMPT B: Jock – Read a book with a MC that loves sports/is on a sports team!
TBR: Jock Blocked by Pippa Grant

STEP 3: Get your second villager!
PROMPT B: Peppy – Read a book with a MC that is an extrovert!
TBR: Sandcastle Beach by Jenny Holiday (read 3/2/21)

STEP 4: Pick a Hemisphere!
PROMPT A: Northern Hemisphere – Read a book that’s set in the springtime!
TBR: Honey Girl by Morgan Rogers (read 3/7/21)

STEP 5: Pick a Fruit!
PROMPT D: Peaches – Read a book with a mostly yellow or pink cover!
